3 Month Ampuversary!!!

Hello Tripawds Family,

Buddy had his 3 month Ampuversary yesterday and he is doing great!!  Loving life, enjoying walks and hanging out with friends.

We survived the Blizzard aka Snowzilla 2016!  Buddy did great, even on three legs.  Never fell once!!!  And he still LOVES the snow!  3 feet is a bit much though!!!

Xoxo

Waiting for Snowpocalypse 2016!!

Hello Tripawds Family!!

Buddy is just 9 days short of his 3 month Ampuversary and doing FANTASTIC!!   Buddy has just gotten better and better and stronger and stronger each day since stopping chemo.   As you may know, we tried carboplatin but on his last CXR he has 2 small lung nodules.  We just pray that they grow VERY slowly.

I elected not to try Palladia or Metronomics.  Buddy has such a sensitive stomach and I just wasn’t willing to accept the possible side effects.  The good news is that Buddy is once again the dog he always was before all of this Osteosarcoma nonsense!!!    I’ll take quality over quantity anytime and I’m 100% sure I made the right decisions along the way: amputation and chemo.

Now, on to the fun stuff.  DC is forecasted for 1-2 feet of snow.  I’m off work until Monday and my house is stocked with food and wine.  My dear friend is coming over to hunker down with us and she’s bringing Buddy’s best friends.  I can’t really think of a better way to spend 3 days.  Friends, dogs, food and wine!!!

Below, Buddy is surveying the light snow we got last night.  He was hilarious this morning.  So excited that there was snow but a little annoyed that I didn’t want to play in it a 6am before work.  LOL.  He got a nice long afternoon walk when I got home.

Thanks again to each of you who have reached out to us throughout this journey.  I cannot express in words how much this community has meant to us.  Love you guys~

Buddy and Julie

Well…..cancer really does suck!

Buddy has lung mets: (

Please don’t feel sorry for us.  Buddy is so happy right now.  We are done with chemo and meds.  I’m glad we tried chemo.  If we hadn’t – I’d have regrets.

Buddy has been more Buddy for the past 4 days than he has been since this horrible diagnosis.

We will make the best of every day.  I won’t mourn him until it’s time.  Live in the moment, be more dog – YOU GUYS TAUGHT ME THAT!

Thank you Tripawds family. We would be lost without you!!!

Love you all so very much!
Julie and Buddy
